The translator has included a glossary of Arabic words and a glossary of the hadith collections referred to in the text and most usefully a glossary of the people mentioned in the text, all of which are invaluable resources. I purchased this book back in and till today I find myself going back to it and each time it is as though I am reading it for the first time.

It is a tremendous book which overflows with magnificence. You can't comprehend the splendour of this work until you actually read it.

I admire this book so much that I purchased an Urdu translation for my parents.
