It's a newer app and the developers are very responsive to user feedback; they add all the awesome features people ask for. The app has the option to link with a Ravelry account, and there's also a sister app called "Pocket Knitting". I've tried some of the apps in this list, but I like that this one doesn't feel so busy.
I have a new email. The kidzride wildblue. I very much enjoy your crochet site, so please keep it coming to my new email…. I have been using Knitting Buddy for a few years now, and this week they updated to Knitting Buddy 2 and it is fantastic! There are abbreviation lists for knitting and crochet, charts, measurements, a flashlight and of course it keeps track of your projects, counting rows, tracking repeats and the time, but you can also keep track of your needles and hooks as well as your yarn.
Yarn tracking us a new feature, but it doesn't link up with your projects like Ravelry does, so you'll need to manually update as you use the yarn. To be honest, I would be completely lost without this app, as I'd never remember which hook I'm using for what project, or what pattern I'm following, and I kept losing project cards or forgetting to update a project diary.
With this you have everything in one place and I gotta say, I love it! I second the recommendation for Knit Companion! I use it ALL the time.
This is a great list. I use it for ALL my projects these days. The tools it provides are amazing. I use the free version and it has everything I need. Im looking for a design website or app. I need to visualise my designs for colour etc. Any advice please? Thanks a million. I installed Crochet Stitches and it was only a bunch of pictures of projects. Research showed me that the particular one you recommend is not available for IOS products T sad.
What app would you recommend for someone wanting to learn to crochet!? I've visited many sites and came across yours, I'm totally pleased with this new find. Easy and Fun to Use! During this process I realized that I needed to chart some of my patterns; Many people are visual and charts and diagrams sometimes make it much easier to describe a stitch, pattern or design. I went on a search of crochet designing software. There were a couple other options for charting software but none seemed as customizable and easy to use as Stitchworks.
After watching the instructional video on the Stitch Works Software website I decided to take the plunge. I now use Stitchworks to help me design new patterns and to chart diagrams in my patterns for ease of use.
Another amazing use for Stitch Works is that it can take some the guess work out out of the designing process, you can use the software to determine how many increases you will need to make per row to get to your desired number of stitches. It also makes it easier to figure out how to bring some stitch patterns together.
