Random Concept Crowd: Summer Gathering Festival With the Friday night music rounding off at 2am, it was time to head back to the campsite for a spot of sleep before the hour extravaganza that was Saturday.
The campsite itself was, on the whole, a cheery place to chill out, and while the late-comers were forced to settle in for the night a fair distance from the arenas the VIP camping area was within spitting distance of the arena gates. Add to that a drastically reduced queue, some swish toilets, great food and hot showers though these were out of action for a couple of hours on Saturday afternoon , it makes the whole festival, and the Saturday hangover, all the much more pleasant.
As for the VIP arena, despite being stocked full of amazing designs courtesy of the Do Lab, it was rarely full, with many choosing to head outside for their musical fix. But as the night descended, the crowd really got into the mood, and the fun really began. However, judging by the near-capacity crowd that rammed the tent for the entire night, the Random Concepts arena was clearly the place to be on Saturday night. Friction with Eksman and Evil B played the kind of set that festival-goers go home and rave to all their friends about, with tunes that had the floor shaking and nearly every member of the crowd bouncing up and down in unison.
