I go to turn it off So I use the chat to talk to a customer service rep. Explain why I want it turned off - slow speed and the frequent need to log back in. I didn't ask to cancel yet, I didn't ask for a refund, I just wanted the auto-renewal turned off. First I'm told that you need to have auto-renewal for support to work on your problem. Then she offered 30 days free to keep auto-renewal on. I told her that wasn't fixing the problem, and reminded her I wasn't asking to cancel completely.

She then offered 90 days free if I kept auto-renewal on. I don't need 30 or 90 days free for them to fix it, I need them to fix it. And that while I didn't ask for a refund in the first place, whether I'm offered one or not because support can't fix the problem shouldn't depend on whether I have auto-renewal or not!

I had to demand that auto-renewal be turned off and removed my credit card number for the billing page before she'd do so, and then she ended the chat. Having Norton VPN as part of Norton and not as a separate program has turned out to be a nightmare.
